ELIZABETH SIMMONS (PA) | PRESIDENT

Beth Simmons is the owner of Triple E Consulting – an educational training, consulting and special events organization. Her client list has included PGA Magazine, Lehigh University Executive Education and the Manufacturing Resource Center in the Lehigh Valley. Beth developed a strong relationship with the Folds of Honor through her work with PGA Magazine and is the founder of the Folds of Honor E. Pennsylvania/ New Jersey Chapter. Beth completed her Lehigh University MBA in 2000 and worked with the Iacocca Institute for twelve years executing executive, management and professional training programs. Prior to achieving her MBA, Beth grew up in Tampa Bay, Florida, working with her family’s medical equipment business, completing her BA in Journalism at the University of Central Florida and working with the St. Petersburg Clearwater Area Film Commission. Beth is a Rotarian and currently lives in the Lehigh Valley with her Aunt.

George Morrison is Counsel with White and Williams, LLC and has experience in a variety of labor and employment matters. His practice ranges from proactive counseling to litigation in federal and state courts and administrative agencies. George also assists consumer reporting agencies with claims asserted under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. George counsels’ employers on compliance with federal, state and local laws concerning individual employment rights, covenants not-to-compete, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, COBRA, the Fair Labor Standards Act, personnel policies and labor and employment issues arising from mass layoffs and plant shutdowns. He also assists employers with general OSHA and Department of Labor inspections and has successfully worked with investigators to minimize employer liability. A member of the White and Williams, LLC’s Education Law Group, George advises colleges and universities on issues related to faculty and student procedural due process rights and compliance with the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act. While in law school, George was President of the Widener University Moot Court Honor Society. From 2012-2017, George was selected in a survey of his peers as a Pennsylvania “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers. George has also served as president of Saucon Valley Rotary for two non-consecutive terms. George resides in Allentown, PA.

Michael is a 1980 graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He joined Abraham, Borda, Corvino, Butz, LaValva & Co in 1983 and became a shareholder in 1991. Michael’s practice areas include accounting, business valuations, and tax planning and consulting for closely-held businesses including their owners. He is certified in Pennsylvania as well as New Jersey. In his free time, he enjoys rooting for Penn State and the Yankees and spending time with his wife and two sons. Born and raised in the Lehigh Valley, he resides in Bethlehem Township.
KEVIN HYDE (Service Member) (PA) | MILITARY AND VETERAN LIAISON
Kevin Hyde is an expert in establishing cybersecurity operational and governance policies for the intelligence community and private industry. He is a career field grade officer in the Marine Corps Reserve and recently served on active duty at the National Security Agency and U.S. Cyber Command. In addition to his technical career, Kevin has utilized his former experience as a spokesman for the Marine Corps by speaking as a cybersecurity expert on multiple panels and conducting executive trainings for various companies. He volunteers for patriotic and Christian organizations in the Greater Philadelphia area during his free time. Kevin has a master’s degree from Seton Hall University in Strategic Communications. Kevin was honored with the designation as one of Philadelphia’s top Veterans of Influence, by the Philadelphia Business Journal in July 2016.

Matt Kardish works in the audit department at Stephano Slack LLC in Wayne, Pennsylvania, a regional middle market accounting services firm. He has been with the company since 2015. He lives in West Chester, PA. Matt earned his Bachelor of Science in Management from Boston College in 2014 with a dual concentration in Finance and Accounting. When he’s not working, he loves watching basketball and playing golf. In addition to work and golf, Matt is actively involved in the special needs community. He serves as Treasurer on the Board of Bournelyf Special Camp, a summer camp in West Chester with programs involving recreational, physical fitness and lifetime wellness in conjunction with developing communication and social skills for individuals with mild to moderate intellectual and developmental disabilities. He is also a Director for LiveUp Programs, which is an Organization that hosts extended weekend programs for adults with Down syndrome shaped around encouraging enhanced social interactions, character building, and independent living skills.
FRED KOECK (Former Service Member) (PA) | DIRECTOR

Fred Koeck lives in the southern Poconos and works in the Lehigh Valley. He is a retired Army Veteran (mostly reserve time). Fred started his military career in the enlisted ranks, then attended Officers Candidate School (OCS), and was commissioned an officer in the Army Engineer Regiment serving domestically with several overseas deployments. Beyond his military schooling he has an undergraduate degree in Economics from Rutgers University and a Master’s in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Georgia College and State University. Fred ‘s current business role is supply chain link connector and sales professional. In this role he utilizes his diverse business experience from materials procurement to contract manufacturing, contract packaging, assembly, fulfillment, warehousing, and logistics/distribution coordination to culminate in effective business to business (B2B) and business to consumer (B2C) activities and interactions. Fred has built a successful career strategically and tactically advising his client base in the fields of packaging, logistics, and other supply chain activities. Combining these experiences Fred holds an added position as Advisory Board President of a technology development company serving the security and defense marketspaces. He is on the board of directors of a packaging distribution and packaging machinery company servicing the ever-evolving ecommerce and fulfillment industries. Fred also continues to be an active member and contributor to numerous charitable, community, and industry organizations where he holds various positions.
JOHN LAWRENCE (PA) | DIRECTOR

John is President of Aetna’s Keystone Market (Pennsylvania, Delaware and West Virginia) and the Territory Leader for the Mid-Atlantic region (Keystone Market, Maryland, D.C., Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky). He is responsible for all business including all aspects of sales, network development, clinical operations, regulatory affairs and financial management where Aetna serves approximately 3 million members with a range of health, wellness, dental and specialty products and services. John graduated from Mount St. Mary’s College in Emmitsburg, MD with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Finance. He resides in Flanders, NJ with his wife and their five children.
DAVID NORTON, MBA (Former Service Member) (NJ) | DIRECTOR

David grew up in New Orleans, LA and took advantage of a Navy ROTC scholarship to attend the University of Virginia where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and was commissioned as an Ensign in the US Navy. After serving as a Surface Warfare Officer based in California, David finished out his naval career as a Lieutenant in the US Navy Reserves while attending the University of North Carolina. He earned his Master of Business Administration with concentrations in operations and marketing from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. David’s business career has since included 20 years of management and leadership roles at several large and national health insurance companies. David is currently the Market Head of Sales for Aetna’s northeast Public & Labor business where he leads a team of close to 30 sales and account management professionals responsible for roughly $2.5 Billion in annual revenues. David resides in Manasquan, NJ with his wife and two teenage children.

Michael Smith is the owner of Jarvin Consulting – a specialized Sales and Marketing firm with a concentration on Salesforce.com and nCino Banking Automation projects. Michael acts as the primary Sales and Solutions Architect for Jarvin, which has several banking and financial clients in the Philadelphia region. In addition to leading several Salesforce.com projects, Michael has also contributed several solutions that have been included in Salesforce.com enhancements over the years. In his spare time, Mike enjoy playing golf, cycling, and spending time with his young son. Michael lives in Phoenixville with his son, Carter.

Mike Attara is a certified PGA Professional, golf industry executive, and the founder and president of Spirt Golf Management. Mike is Trustee of the New Jersey Golf Foundation, Board Member of the Pennsylvania Golf Course Owners Association, and Board Member of the GAP Public Golf Committee. Mike served two terms as a NJ PGA Board of Director and has been a long-time supporter of the Folds of Honor Foundation. Mike earned his Class A PGA certification in 1990 and certification in general management in 2006. During Mike’s 30 + years as a PGA Professional, he served as a Regional Vice President for a national golf course management company, Director of Operations at Eagle Ridge Golf Club and today is the President of Spirit Golf Management.
Mike’s passion for Folds of Honor started in 2008 as a Wingman, hosting his first Patriot Day Events and chairing the first NJ PGA Sections Patriot’s Day Committee. Mike joined the Folds of Honor Marathon Team running alongside Lt. Colonel Dan Rooney, our founder, and several other PGA Professionals at the 2009 Marine Corp Marathon and the 2010 Chicago Marathon. Upon founding Spirit Golf, Mike continued promoting 5K races, tournaments, golf marathons and a host of other events throughout Spirit’s portfolio of clubs. Mike won the 2013 Patriot Award for the NJ Section for his efforts and over the past 11 years Mike has helped raise over $75k for the Folds of Honor Foundation.
ANDY BULIZAK, PGA (NJ) | GOLF INDUSTRY CO-CHAIR
Born and raised in Binghamton, New York. He earned a BBA with honors in the Professional Golf Management from the State University of New York at Delhi. He also competed on the golf team, and served as the captain of the school’s golf club. As part of his studies, he completed internships at En-Joie Golf Club, NY, Cattail Creek Country Club, MD, and Sleepy Hollow Country Club, NY. After graduation, Andy became an Assistant Golf Professional at Sleepy Hollow where he remained for three full seasons. In 2016, Andy relocated to New Jersey and became an Assistant Golf Professional at Morris County Golf Club, where he earned his Class A PGA membership in June of that year. At the beginning of 2017, Andy joined the sales world and has since become the Regional Director for Signature Golf, which focuses on luxury golf travel. In 2018, Andy started his own independent company called Greenside Experiences to service his growing corporate golf clients and charity fundraising business. Andy resides in Roseland, New Jersey and is a member of the NJ PGA Section.

Daniel Baker, PGA, brings years of golfing experience and insight into his position as Head Golf Professional at Bridgewater Golf Club in York, PA. He is a Certified PGA Professional, played on the Tour from 1980-1982, and anticipates his Master Professional status in 2019. Baker has a passion for working with kids and the handicapped of all backgrounds and abilities, with the goal of not only improving their golf game, but their lives. One of Dan’s students, Jon Martin, (who has Cerebral Palsy) won the Silver Medal in the 2018 Special Olympics. He has been married to his wife Vicki for 39 years and has 3 children and 8 grandchildren. Bridgewater Golf Club is the third golf course he has revitalized from unplayable conditions to thriving and looks forward to Bridgewater’s Opening Season in 2019!
RICHARD BRANDT, MBA (Former Service Member) (NJ)
Dick Brandt is an international consultant, advisor and accomplished public speaker. He has over 15 years of experience in managing international business operations, while serving in various Vice President positions during a 25-year career at AT&T and Lucent Technologies. Following AT&T, Dick was the Director of the Iacocca Institute at Lehigh University and the Director of the Global Village for Future Leaders of Business and Industry program. Dick served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army. He earned his BS Degree from Kent State University, and he is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School. He currently lives in New Jersey with his wife, Sandra and continues to teach executive education programs around the world.
JENNIFER CARBONE (NJ)

Jennifer Carbone is a civilian, born and raised in South New Jersey. She is the granddaughter of a WWII veteran and daughter of a partially disabled army veteran. Jennifer is a licensed professional counselor in both NJ and PA and has worked in substance abuse and mental health treatment for 20 years. She has been employed in the State of NJ Drug Court Program as a substance abuse evaluator for 8 years. Jennifer has worked with veterans and their families and is very aware of the unique needs of military families. She is an experienced fundraiser and grant writer. She formerly worked in a New Jersey high school where she wrote federal grants and raised funds for student substance abuse prevention activities. She is married with one son and two stepsons and lives in Audubon, NJ, in the Philadelphia suburbs.

John Cooley is a veteran (1981-1985) and served USAF Ballistic Missile System Analyst on the Titan II ICBM, Little Rock AFB. Prior to and following his service, he has been a private health club owner. John currently owns Marathon Fitness Management Group LLC which oversees the daily operations of 8 Planet Fitness locations in Reading, PA and Northeast, OH. John was assistant high school wrestling Coach at Boyertown Area High School until 2017. He is married to wife Rose and has two children including JT and Carolyn (both in college).

Michele has been in the medical field for over 25 years and is currently a health and wellness coach and also an audiologist assistant. Michele resides in Bucks County with her husband and has 3 grown sons and 1 granddaughter.
TIM DURKIN (NJ)
Tim is a civilian and was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He now resides in South Jersey. Currently, Tim is the Founder and President of TD Solutions of New Jersey. He has more than 20 years of IT consulting experience in various roles including project management, recruiting and sales. Tim has strong relationships in the Philadelphia Area business community that will help expand the Folds of Honor Foundation’s presence in Philadelphia. Tim is the proud son of a World War II veteran who instilled in Tim the respect for our veterans and their sacrifice. Tim is married living in Cinnaminson, New Jersey with three children (2 boys and 1 girl). Tim is an avid golfer and Philadelphia sports fan.
FRANKLIN GREEN (PA)
Although a civilian, his family has a rich military tradition. His grandfather was one of the few African Americans to receive a battle field commission in World War I, his uncle was a Tuskegee Airman in World War II, and his father was a combat veteran of the Korean War.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Frank is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. He’s currently the Northeast Senior Director for the IT and Training company Alphanumeric Systems. Outside the office, Frank is member of Steel Club in Hellertown and serves of the board of directors of two Lehigh Valley non-profits: LifePath and the Children’s Home of Easton. He lives in Allentown with his wife and 10-year-old daughter.

Karen was in the securities and financial planning industry for 37 years as Securities Principal (1992-2018). Now retired, she lives in the Lehigh Valley with her husband Glen. Karen’s father and uncle served in WWII and her grandniece served in the Air Force Middle East Crisis and is a disabled veteran.

Katelyn is a Kutztown University marketing graduate (2014) and the Production Marketing Coordinator for PGA Magazine. An exceptional professional, Katelyn manages the advertising of 12+ print and digital publications and online advertising as well as providing event and sales support for its management team. Katelyn has been a volunteer with the E. PA-NJ Chapter since it was founded and is a rising star among its members.

Rich and Mary McGinnis are the Owners of Corporate Images in Allentown, PA, specializing in logo apparel, screen printing, embroidery and promotional items to best market your brand or company. Rich is a graduate of Moravian College and Mary is a graduate of Penn State University. They live in Macungie, PA and have three daughters, Shannon, Reilly & Jenna. Shannon will graduate from St Francis University this Spring, Reilly is in her second year at Army West Point, and Jenna is a Freshman at Emmaus HS.

Jim Muschlitz, PGA is the head PGA professional at Southmoore Golf Course in Bath, Pennsylvania. With over 40 years of experience of teaching, playing, and exemplifying what it means to be a PGA Professional, Jim always puts the integrity of the game first! Jim is a member of the Lehigh Valley Golf Hall of Fame and offers instruction through the Jim Muschlitz Golf Academy.

Pete Reinke is Vice President of Operations at ALT Realty in Bethlehem, PA, and a graduate of Lafayette College. Pete is well connected in the region with career highlights including Vice President of Leasing and Development at the Navy Yard, PIDC; serving as Vice President of Lehigh Valley Economic Development; and holding the infamous “Friends of Pete” events over the past several years at key locations in the Lehigh Valley.

Andy Signor, PGA, is the head golf professional of Pine Meadows Golf Complex in Lebanon, PA. Andy is a member of the Philadelphia Section of the PGA and serves on the Tournament Committee. A seasoned golf professional, Andy’s course is home to several annual golf tournaments including the Patriot Golf Day for the Folds of Honor event held in September.

Ron Stepanek, PGA, is a business development executive for BrightView Golf Management, an industry leader in golf course maintenance. For over 30 years the company has invested in refining the science, technology and human expertise behind golf course maintenance to establish an operational model that is unlike any other in the industry. In his role, Ron looks forward speaking with golf course operators about BrightView’s services and developing long term partnerships. Ron’s background includes Executive Director of a 501C3 called Bike N Build, Regional Management for Spirit Golf Management, Adjunct Faculty with Keiser University College of Golf, Executive Director of the Southern Ohio PGA Section and serving as Director of Industry Development for PGA of America. While with the PGA of America, Stepanek was the program manager to help launch Patriot Golf Day for the Folds of Honor, where he worked with thousands of PGA Professionals across the country as they raised $1.7 million in the inaugural year.
